Science. Nature. They’re really just two sides of the same coin.

But for years we’ve been treating them as though they’re at opposite ends of some hypothetical spectrum.  Researchers and naturalists continue to battle it out with each side claiming superiority over the other.

But does this really need to be a choice?

Not anymore.

Enter Avivagen – a brand new animal health company dedicated to bringing natural and innovative science-based technology to the animal health field.

It certainly isn’t everyday that a new animal health company is born.  And when that company is uniquely Canadian the event is even more newsworthy.

Avivagen Animal Health is the culmination of over 10 years of research and is a subsidiary of Chemaphor Inc. also a Canadian company.

Chemaphor is a federally incorporated, publicly listed biotechnology company (TSX Venture Exchange; symbol CFR.V).  It began humbly in 2005 and arose out of a project initiated at the National Research Council in the early 1990’s whose goal was to discover the source of the biological action of carotenoids (i.e., beta-carotene, lycopene…etc).  The premise was simple: how to optimize human and animal health using the innate healing potential of fully oxidized beta-carotene.

Avivagen Animal Health is the first step in bringing these types of natural, science-based products to market under the trade name Oximunol Chewable Tablets.

So there you have it.  Change is brewing and science and nature are coming together. These are exciting times in the animal health field and it will only get better from here.

Grab your lab coat Mother Nature, you’re gonna need it.
